Program Facts

The Kansas City Girls Choir (KCGC) was organized in April, 2006 and incorporated as a not-for-profit Missouri organization during this same year. The group is a new organization and the sister organization of the Kansas City Boys Choir. The visionary behind the group is Founder, CEO, and Artistic Director Mr. Ah’Lee Robinson, a Kansas City native and national gospel recording artist.

The KCGC consists of approximately 30 plus young women from diverse musical and cultural backgrounds in the age range of 8-18 years old. These young women represent both Missouri and Kansas metropolitan areas, and will spend a large amount of their time representing the Greater Kansas City area nationally.

KCGC provides a forum for developing and enhancing the mind to bridge communication gaps through music in the classical girls’ choir tradition. Our participants complete concerts which include dramatizations, as well as traditional-sacred-contemporary music. Staff members are volunteers from various professional backgrounds who provide educational, tutorial, social, community and positive citizenship programs to support young women. Our choristers are provided with all of the skills and experiences that are conducive to life-long music-making.
